Bubble Trouble

post-title

Queso had just discovered her favorite thing in the world—bubble gum!

She didn’t really know what it was, but it smelled amazing and came in bright pink rolls.

Henry warned her: “That’s not for dogs…” But Queso was already chewing.

At first, the gum was tricky.

It stuck to her tongue. It stuck to her nose. But after a few tries, she blew her first bubble—and it was HUGE.

“I’m a bubble master!” she shouted (while slightly stuck to the wall).

“Let’s take this outside” Henry said in a panic.

Once outside, Queso kept practicing her bubbles.

Just when she blew her biggest bubble ever, a breeze rolled in.

WHOOSH! The bubble lifted her right off the ground.

Henry shouted, “Queso, you’re flying!”

Queso yelled back, “I think I’m in trouble!”

Henry raced after her with a butterfly net and a jar of peanut butter.

After a few sticky swipes and a loud “SPLAT,” the bubble popped.

Queso was free—but very gooey.

“I guess you were right about gum,” she said.

Queso was finally back on the ground…

But the gum? Oh, the gum was EVERYWHERE.

It was on her ears.

It was on her nose.

It was in her eyelashes. (How?!)

It was even on Henry!

Later that night, Queso and Henry sat side-by-side after an EXTENSIVE bath.

Henry handed her a chewy stick. “This one’s fun to chew AND safe for dogs.”

Queso smiled.

“Good. Because bubbles are totally overrated.”
